Endless mode: floors and upgrades
Endless mode replaces levels with counted floors and gives the game its only weapon upgrades. Reach floor 10 for one achievement; max all three guns for WEAPON KING.

Endless mode is where COP BASTARD stops being a corridor shooter and becomes a survival ladder: floors instead of levels, and — uniquely in this game — weapon upgrades. Two achievements live there, and one of them is the rarest in the game.
The two Endless achievements
| Achievement | Requirement | Global |
|---|---|---|
| Cops don't fly that high | Reach the 10th floor | 0.9% |
| WEAPON KING | Upgrade every weapon to max level | 0.2% |
That is the entire public record of the mode: a floor counter, and a weapon upgrade system that does not exist in the campaign.
How the mode differs from the campaign
| Campaign | Endless mode |
|---|---|
| Fixed levels with a story | Floors, counted, with no ending |
| No upgrades, by design | Weapons upgrade to a maximum level |
| Death sends you to a checkpoint | Death ends the run |
| Score for style | Score plus survival depth |
The design inversion is the point. The campaign's whole identity is that you get no stronger — your skill is the progression. Endless mode is the one place the game lets you spend something, and it gates its rarest achievement behind doing that completely.
Practical approach to floor 10
- Upgrade one gun first, not three. A maxed Beretta carries early floors; three half-upgraded guns carry nothing.
- Farm the early floors deliberately. Floors one to three are where you build the upgrade budget. Do not rush them.
- Keep the shotgun for the door. Endless floors stack enemies, and the double-barrel's double kill is the cheapest way out of a crowd.
- Spend the charge meter on healing, not style. In a mode where death ends the run, the slow-motion option is a luxury.
- Restart early. If floor three costs you half your health, the run is already over; the mode rewards clean starts.
Getting WEAPON KING
"Upgrade every weapon to max level" means all three guns, fully levelled — the Beretta, the double-barrel and the magnum. Plan for it as a long session rather than a quick attempt: you need enough floors survived to fund three complete upgrade tracks, which is why only 0.2 percent of players have it two days after launch.
Why the mode exists
The campaign deliberately has no progression. Endless mode is where the designers put the thing they refused to put in the story: a reason to keep playing the same corridors, and a ladder that shows you how far you got. It is also, quietly, the best place to practise the charge meter, because there is no checkpoint to save you from a bad decision.
